The roots of rucking
Rucking has a long history, but the idea is simple: take a walk, add a little weight to your backpack and make everyday movement work harder.
Fresh air. Loaded steps. Good people. Discover a different way to get stronger, together.
Rucking is walking with weight in a backpack. Simple to start, easy to adapt and a brilliant way to build strength and endurance while exploring the outdoors.
The extra weight adds a challenge to an everyday activity. Start light, find a comfortable pace and build up gradually — there is no need to carry a heavy pack to get moving.

Rucking combines the familiar benefits of walking with the extra effort of carrying a pack. Here’s what the evidence tells us.
Rucking has a long history, but the idea is simple: take a walk, add a little weight to your backpack and make everyday movement work harder.
Walking with a weighted pack challenges your muscles and cardiovascular system together. Adjust your weight, pace or distance to suit your goals.
Fresh air, movement and time outdoors can help lift your spirits, ease everyday stress and leave you feeling refreshed.
Walking with others brings friendship, encouragement and motivation. Having people waiting for you can make all the difference.
New to rucking? Start with a light, comfortable pack and increase weight or distance gradually. Rucking should feel challenging, not painful.
